SAP Data Migration Specialist - VIRTUAL

Our client, a Global Leader in the Medical Device Industry has an immediate opening for a SAP Data Migration Specialist for a 12 month + Contract. We are seeking a highly detailed and analytical Data Migration analyst to join our clients team. In this role, you will support Data Readiness Activities, partnering with business SME's as well as our client's Data Readiness team. as they migrate their ERP's over to SAP.

Position Description (Principle Duties and Responsibilities)

• Early engagement with business, participating in Requirement gathering session to learn about the business process.
• Engaging with business on foundational data objects to talk about data cleaning opportunities within the legacy system(s).
• Approving the Data Object Scoped for the release, with input from BPO and Technical leads.
• Working with the data services team to add new object as needed.
• Support Playback and Business Unit Confirmation sessions. Provide content for presentations and present content.
• Attend and participate within data design session supporting the BPO and technical team
• Supports the collection from legacy system via extraction or construction of legacy data
• Perform statistical analysis on data objects to support business validation and readiness efforts
• Partner with the business to understand data applicable to testing scenarios
• Work to identify necessary data for testing scenarios
  • Align/correct data, as needed, to reduce defects for testing related to data
• Work closely with Business Process Owners, Business Process Implementation Lead, Business Partners, Global Application Partners, and partnering workstream team members.

Requirements

• Experience with ERP systems (ideally with SAP), and migration from source ERP systems to SAP
• Proficient with SQL (ideally SAP HANA and MS SQL Server) and experience working with relational databases and data warehouses required.
• Experience with data manipulation, modeling, and automation and the ETL process required.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure cloud-based analytics tools is beneficial.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer/Data Science, Engineering, or related field.
• A minimum of three years of Master Data and ERP Migration support
